Staten Island Engagement Session: Ashley and Anthony {New York City Wedding Photographer}
Sometimes you just have to give someone a chance.
Ashley met Anthony the summer before college when they were both 18 years old. A mutual friend introduced them. After they first met, Ashley received a text from their friend which stated that Anthony wanted to take her out on a date. Ashley declined.
This friend never gave us, and continued asking if Ashley would go out with Anthony. Time after time, Ashley declined. And so this friend got creative. One evening Ashley was invited to meet the friend’s girlfriend, so Ashley said yes, come over! Surprisingly, when the friend arrived, he was accompanied by Anthony, and not a girlfriend. Ashley gave Anthony a chance, and actually ended up giving Anthony her phone number. Finally Anthony himself texted Ashley and asked her out on a date, and she accepted.
They have been together ever since.
They have a philosophy of collecting memories, and not things. Together they attend cooking classes, see shows in NYC, sail, attend concerts, helicopter rides, dinner cruises, and pottery classes. They also have a tradition of preparing a picnic underneath a large oak tree in Snug Harbor on their anniversary each year. So it was only fitting we met in the beautiful gardens of the Snug Harbor Cultural Center and Botanical Garden where they spend so much special time together, they even brought along their two adorable dogs.
Congratulations Ashley and Anthony! I can’t wait to see you again in 2020 for your beautiful wedding at the Indian Trail Club in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey.
