Their love story began in Spring Lake, New Jersey. It’s where they fell in love, where he proposed, and where they spend much of their free time.

So it was pretty obvious that their engagement session should take place in this beautiful beach town.

Mary wanted a spring session, but also wanted to get her save the dates out in April, so we scheduled her session for March, hoping spring would come early. But as we all know, spring is still not here! There was a major snowstorm just a few days before Mary and Matt’s session (we almost had to reschedule it), and on the day of the session the temperatures were in the 30s, and there was still snow on the ground (and I had a cold!)

But this is why photography is so magical….we were able to find some snow-free spots and you would never guess this session was in March with freezing temperatures.

I loved the vintage bike and bouquet of flowers that Mary and Matt brought with them. And Mary’s outfits from Rent the Runway were fabulous. JoJo from the Bachelorette actually wore this long pink dress on the tv show!

Thank you Mary and Matt for braving the cold, and looking absolutely adorable and so in love in the midst of it. This just means that it will be a beautiful warm day next April for your wedding at the Park Chateau!
