They had an instant connection when they met at a mutual friend’s party. But it was near the end of the night and John still didn’t get Carol’s number.

As everyone was leaving, Carol asked John: “aren’t you going to get my number?” And he finally asked. And there she was, typed into his phone, and into his heart.

Carol and John are getting married this fall at Maryland’s historic Belmont Manor. But in the meantime, we met up in Lewes, Delaware, for a beautifully serene and refreshing salty air engagement session. The weather was overcast and mysterious, which is actually my favorite kind of day here by the sea. It gave way for a misty blue watercolor sunset, which made a perfect backdrop for Carol and John’s sweet and tender love.
