It was Fourth of July weekend, and Ryan was boogie boarding with friends in Sea Isle City, NJ, while down the beach, Maggi was reading the latest Vogue.

That evening, Maggi and Ryan met for the first time at a friend’s beach house, and ended up talking the night away. And for the rest of the weekend, the two were inseparable; sitting close at every meal, taking long walks on the beach, and hoping the holiday weekend wouldn’t come to an end, and that their feelings wouldn’t disappear.

And although the sun did eventually set and the tans faded, Maggi and Ryan made it work, and now almost seven years later, it still feels like a Saturday afternoon in July for the two of them.

I met up with Maggi and Ryan in Cape May for their seaside engagement session. I love the old victorian homes and the calm beach at sunset.

I’m looking forward to their Central PA wedding next September!
