They grew up only 15 minutes away from each other, but didn’t meet until many years later…

In 2011, Joe, an inspiring Sou Chef, was working at the Twist & Turn Tavern in Highland, Maryland, under the executive chef. Lauren was finishing up her bachelor’s degree at Virginia Tech and worked at the Tavern when she would go home for breaks. After months of passing by each other and stolen glances, Joe finally worked up the courage to ask Lauren out on a date. Lauren said yes, and they ended up spending a magical afternoon Christmas shopping and laughing.

Two years later they were engaged.

I absolutely loved hanging out with these two in Annapolis for their engagement session. They were such a delight to be around, and I’m so excited for their upcoming fall wedding in Clarksville, Maryland.
